The AB Septic Difference: Why We Don’t Upcharge Materials, Pad Permit Fees, or Hold Your Drawings Hostage
Installing a new septic system or replacing a failing leach field is one of the largest infrastructure projects a homeowner will take on. Because most homeowners only deal with a major septic installation or replacement once or twice in their lives, it can be tough to know what a fair bid actually looks like.
Unfortunately, it has become common practice in the industry to pad invoices with hidden markups and use red tape to lock homeowners into a bid before they can shop around.
At AB Septic LLC, we do business differently. Whether we are working in Hudson, across Weld County and Adams County, or on acreage estates in Cherry Hills Village and Arapahoe County, our philosophy comes down to three simple promises.
1. Zero Markups on Materials
When many contractors write up an estimate, they take the supply house cost for the septic tank, Infiltrator chambers, piping, and aggregate rock and tack on an extra 15% to 30% markup.
We don’t play the material markup game. At AB Septic, we charge a fair, transparent rate for our labor, equipment, and master installation expertise—and pass the materials through without inflating the price tag. You know exactly where your money is going from day one.
2. No Extra Charge to Pull Your Permit
Every septic installation or major septic repair requires a permit through the local county health department. While filing the paperwork takes time and know-how, some companies charge homeowners several hundred dollars in "administrative" or "permit runner" fees on top of the county's actual fee just to submit an application.
We view handling your permit paperwork as a standard part of doing the job right. We coordinate with the county and pull the permit for you at zero extra charge—you only ever cover the exact cost charged by the health department.
3. Your Paid-For Engineered Drawings Are 100% Yours
Before a septic system can be installed or replaced in Colorado, counties require soil profile testing and a stamped design from a licensed engineer. Often, when a homeowner pays a septic company to coordinate that engineering, the contractor treats those completed plans like company property—refusing to hand them over unless you hire them for the excavation and installation.
Our rule is simple: if you paid for the engineering, you own the drawings. Once your engineered septic design is completed and paid for, the stamped plans are handed directly over to you to get a second opinion anywhere you would like.
We never hold a homeowner’s paperwork hostage to force a sale. We want you to choose AB Septic because you trust our craftsmanship and our pricing—not because you feel trapped.
